Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (1038M) by Katharina Grosse was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Phillips in London in October this year. The price achieved of GBP 120,650.00 (€ 138,539.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 80,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Katharina Grosse - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ohne Titel, which sold at auction in December 2021 for EUR 500,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (1038M) von Katharina Grosse wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 120.650,00 (€ 138.539,72) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 80.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Katharina Grosse mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Dezember 2021 für EUR 500.000,00 versteigert wurde.
