Upper estimate price exceeded by 26%
The work GOOD INTENTIONS by Kaws was auctioned at Phillips in Hong Kong in November this year. It achieved a price of HKD 352,800 (€ 54,206), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 26%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kaws achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Kimpsons #1) in October 2019 with an auction result of HKD 57,877,000 (€ 6,615,255).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26% übertroffen
Die Arbeit GOOD INTENTIONS von Kaws kam im November diesen Jahres bei Phillips in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 352.800 (€ 54.206) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 26%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kaws erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Kimpsons #1) im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 57.877.000 (€ 6.615.255).
