Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Christies in New York held the auction Impressionist and Modern Works on Paper and Day Sale, which included the work Mère et enfant by Foujita. The price achieved of USD 126,000.00 (€ 117,416.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Foujita achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La fête d'anniversaire in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 7,096,250.00 (€ 8,002,380.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Works on Paper and Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mère et enfant von Foujita zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 126.000,00 (€ 117.416,83) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Foujita erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La fête d'anniversaire im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.096.250,00 (€ 8.002.380,76).
