Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Leonor Fini achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in November 2021. In the Modern Evening Auction auction, the work Les Aveugles sold for USD 867,000.00 (€ 768,140.34) - well above the upper estimate of USD 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leonor Fini - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Autoportrait Au Scorpion, which sold at auction in May 2021 for USD 2,319,000.00 (€ 1,901,754.96).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Leonor Fini erzielte im November 2021 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern Evening Auction wurde die Arbeit Les Aveugles für USD 867.000,00 (€ 768.140,34) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 300.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Leonor Fini mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Autoportrait Au Scorpion beobachtet, die im Mai 2021 für USD 2.319.000,00 (€ 1.901.754,96) versteigert wurde.
