Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Chéri by Lukas Duwenhögger was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale Session I auction at Christies in New York in May 2015. The »bidding war« ended at USD 149,000.00 (€ 135,528.47), 24% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Lukas Duwenhögger have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rezalet (Impertinence) in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 649,200.00 (€ 575,174.98).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Chéri von Lukas Duwenhögger wurde im Mai 2015 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale Session I bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 149.000,00 (€ 135.528,47) und damit 24% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lukas Duwenhögger auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Rezalet (Impertinence) im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 649.200,00 (€ 575.174,98).
