Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Nan Goldin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in April this year. In the Photographs auction, the work Greer and Robert on the bed, New York City sold for USD 35,560.00 (€ 32,210.14) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Nan Goldin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Thanksgiving in May 2002 with an auction result of USD 284,500.00 (€ 304,636.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Nan Goldin erzielte im April diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Photographs wurde die Arbeit Greer and Robert on the bed, New York City für USD 35.560,00 (€ 32.210,14) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nan Goldin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Thanksgiving im Mai 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 284.500,00 (€ 304.636,47).
