This artwork by Neil Jenney achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in November 2011. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art Session I including Works from the Peter Norton Collection auction, the work Pump and Pumper sold for USD 386,500.00 (€ 287,296.51) - well above the upper estimate of USD 200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Neil Jenney - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Threat and Sanctuary, which sold at auction in May 2016 for USD 965,000.00 (€ 866,636.73).
