Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Christies in Paris held the auction Photographies, which included the work Elephant Kicking Dust, Amboseli, 2007 by Nick Brandt. The price achieved of EUR 6,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nick Brandt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Elephant drinking, Amboseli, 2007 in May 2018 with an auction result of GBP 87,500.00 (€ 99,639.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Photographies durch, in der auch die Arbeit Elephant Kicking Dust, Amboseli, 2007 von Nick Brandt zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 6.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nick Brandt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Elephant drinking, Amboseli, 2007 im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 87.500,00 (€ 99.639,03).
