Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2009 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art including The Olga Davenport Collection, which included the work Christ Calling Peter and Andrew by Patrick Hayman. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,125.00 (€ 2,291.49) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Patrick Hayman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Fisherman, which sold at auction in October 2012 for GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,527.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2009 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art including The Olga Davenport Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Christ Calling Peter and Andrew von Patrick Hayman zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.125,00 (€ 2.291,49) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Patrick Hayman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Fisherman beobachtet, die im Oktober 2012 für GBP 5.250,00 (€ 6.527,45) versteigert wurde.
