Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Paula Rego was sold in the Contemporary Curated auction at Sothebys in London in April 2017. It changed hands for a price of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,679.78) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paula Rego achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dancing Ostriches from Walt Disney's 'Fantasia' in October this year with an auction result of GBP 3,065,000.00 (€ 3,519,471.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Paula Rego wurde im April 2017 in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.679,78) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paula Rego erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dancing Ostriches from Walt Disney's 'Fantasia' im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.065.000,00 (€ 3.519.471,52).
