Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June this year Christies in London held the auction Art contemporain - Vente du jour, which included the work Brushstrokes poster by Roy Lichtenstein. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 700.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 756.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roy Lichtenstein achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nurse in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 95,365,000.00 (€ 90,290,664.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni diesen Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Art contemporain - Vente du jour durch, in der auch die Arbeit Brushstrokes poster von Roy Lichtenstein zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 700,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 756,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Roy Lichtenstein erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nurse im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 95.365.000,00 (€ 90.290.664,65).
