Auction result well in line with expectations
In June this year Bonhams in London held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work Crying Girl by Roy Lichtenstein. The price achieved of GBP 44,800.00 (€ 52,139.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roy Lichtenstein achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nurse in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 95,365,000.00 (€ 90,290,664.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Prints and Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Crying Girl von Roy Lichtenstein zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 44.800,00 (€ 52.139,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Roy Lichtenstein erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nurse im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 95.365.000,00 (€ 90.290.664,65).
