Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Subtle Body from Academy of Secrets by Sarah Charlesworth. The price achieved of USD 10,625.00 (€ 9,122.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sarah Charlesworth - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Seated Buddha (from 0 + 1), which sold at auction in September 2021 for USD 25,200.00 (€ 21,767.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Subtle Body from Academy of Secrets von Sarah Charlesworth zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 9.122,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Sarah Charlesworth mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Seated Buddha (from 0 + 1) beobachtet, die im September 2021 für USD 25.200,00 (€ 21.767,30) versteigert wurde.
