Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Shirazeh Houshiary was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 6,048.67) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shirazeh Houshiary achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Door in October 2012 with an auction result of USD 158,500.00 (€ 122,318.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Shirazeh Houshiary kam im März 2015 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 6.048,67) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shirazeh Houshiary erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Door im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 158.500,00 (€ 122.318,26).
