Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Vbgdw by Vanessa Beecroft was sold in the Post War and Contemporary Art Afternoon Session auction at Christies in New York in May 2006. Here, the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 21,600.00 (€ 16,831.61). Admittedly, works by Vanessa Beecroft have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Vb 48, Palazzo Ducale, Genoa in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 120,000.00 (€ 89,199.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Vbgdw von Vanessa Beecroft wurde im Mai 2006 in der Auktion Post War and Contemporary Art Afternoon Session bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 21.600,00 (€ 16.831,61) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vanessa Beecroft auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Vb 48, Palazzo Ducale, Genoa im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 120.000,00 (€ 89.199,44).
