Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2021 Grisebach held the auction Online Only 2020/2021 - Contemporary Editions Online Only, which included the work „Empedokles aus Agrigent. Fragmente über die Natur“. by Walter Stöhrer. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 1,625.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Walter Stöhrer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Kopf-Torso I (Head-Torso I) in September 2021 with an auction result of EUR 50,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2021 führte Grisebach die Auktion Online Only 2020/2021 - Contemporary Editions Online Only durch, in der auch die Arbeit „Empedokles aus Agrigent. Fragmente über die Natur“. von Walter Stöhrer zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 1.625,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Walter Stöhrer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Kopf-Torso I (Head-Torso I) im September 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 50.400,00.
