The work Man Pissing on Chair, 1997 by Wolfgang Tillmans was sold in the Photographies auction at Christies in Paris in November 2021. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 27,500.00 53% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wolfgang Tillmans achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Freischwimmer #84 in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 605,000.00 (€ 688,982.12).

Die Arbeit Man Pissing on Chair, 1997 von Wolfgang Tillmans wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Photographies bei Christies in Paris versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 27.500,00 und damit 53% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wolfgang Tillmans erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Freischwimmer #84 im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 605.000,00 (€ 688.982,12).
