Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2008 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Xin Haizhou for USD 22,500.00 (€ 15,978.98). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Asia at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Xin Haizhou have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rule of the Game No. 2 in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 775,000.00 (€ 89,575.66).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2008 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Xin Haizhou für USD 22.500,00 (€ 15.978,98) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xin Haizhou auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Rule of the Game No. 2 im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 775.000,00 (€ 89.575,66).
