The work Gaius Julius Caesar by Yang Maoyuan was auctioned at Phillips in London in December 2014. The result of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 7,723.99) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Yang Maoyuan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Parthenon in November 2013 with an auction result of HKD 350,000.00 (€ 33,183.89).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Gaius Julius Caesar von Yang Maoyuan kam im Dezember 2014 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 7.723,99) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yang Maoyuan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Parthenon im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 350.000,00 (€ 33.183,89).
