This artwork by Yang Maoyuan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March 2012. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art auction, the work Face sold for GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,293.78) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,500.00. Admittedly, works by Yang Maoyuan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Parthenon in November 2013 with an auction result of HKD 350,000.00 (€ 33,183.89).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yang Maoyuan erzielte im März 2012 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Face für GBP 5.250,00 (€ 6.293,78) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yang Maoyuan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Parthenon im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 350.000,00 (€ 33.183,89).
