Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Venus by Yang Maoyuan was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in London in March 2012. It changed hands for a price of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 13,486.67) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yang Maoyuan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Parthenon, which sold at auction in November 2013 for HKD 350,000.00 (€ 33,183.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Venus von Yang Maoyuan wurde im März 2012 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 13.486,67) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Yang Maoyuan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Parthenon beobachtet, die im November 2013 für HKD 350.000,00 (€ 33.183,89) versteigert wurde.
