Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2004 Christies in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Quinault #11, 1991 by Yoshihiko Ueda. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,075.50 (€ 864.48) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Yoshihiko Ueda have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Quinault # 9, 1990 Quinault # 18, 1990 in November 2010 with an auction result of EUR 5,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2004 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Quinault #11, 1991 von Yoshihiko Ueda zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.075,50 (€ 864,48) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yoshihiko Ueda auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Quinault # 9, 1990 Quinault # 18, 1990 im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 5.000,00.
