Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Schande-Mann) by André Butzer was auctioned at Phillips in London in October last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 31,500.00 (€ 36,697.15) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by André Butzer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chips und Pepsi und Medizin (Das Glück) in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 403,200.00 (€ 477,683.10).
