Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'Chez Mondrian, Paris' by André Kertész was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in July 2015. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,667.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by André Kertész achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Atelier Mondrian, Paris in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 314,000.00 (€ 370,021.21).
