In March 2021 Christies in New York held the auction First Open, which included the work Cherry Island by Anthony Goicolea. The result of USD 4,000.00 (€ 3,406.28) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Anthony Goicolea have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Stigmata in August 2020 with an auction result of USD 35,000.00 (€ 29,323.06).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im März 2021 führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cherry Island von Anthony Goicolea zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 4.000,00 (€ 3.406,28) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anthony Goicolea auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Stigmata im August 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 29.323,06).
