Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale, which included this untitled work by Avery Singer. The price achieved of USD 1,724,000.00 (€ 1,670,057.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,500,000.00 – 2,000,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Avery Singer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Happening, which sold at auction in May last year for USD 5,253,000.00 (€ 4,895,163.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Avery Singer zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.724.000,00 (€ 1.670.057,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.500.000,00 – 2.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Avery Singer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Happening beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für USD 5.253.000,00 (€ 4.895.163,54) versteigert wurde.
