Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2009 Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Sonamoo by Bae Bien-U. It changed hands for a price of USD 68,500.00 (€ 45,684.94) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bae Bien-U - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sonamu SNM3A-004 & Sonamu SNM3A-002, which sold at auction in May 2007 for HKD 1,080,000.00 (€ 102,838.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2009 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sonamoo von Bae Bien-U zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 68.500,00 (€ 45.684,94) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Bae Bien-U mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sonamu SNM3A-004 & Sonamu SNM3A-002 beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für HKD 1.080.000,00 (€ 102.838,03) versteigert wurde.
