Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Christian 9.28.07 by Billy Sullivan for USD 14,000.00 (€ 9,531.59). This price was achieved in the auction New Museum Benefit Auction at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Billy Sullivan have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in May 2009 by the work Missy and Nathan at USD 25,000.00 (€ 17,697.86).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Christian 9.28.07 von Billy Sullivan für USD 14.000,00 (€ 9.531,59) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion New Museum Benefit Auction bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Billy Sullivan wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Mai 2009 die Arbeit Missy and Nathan mit USD 25.000,00 (€ 17.697,86).
