Auction result well in line with expectations
The work RUN FROM FEAR FUN FROM REAR by Bruce Nauman was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2002. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 427,500.00 (€ 430,426.90) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bruce Nauman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Life, Death, Love, Hate, Pleasure, Pain in May 2021 with an auction result of USD 8,996,400.00 (€ 7,377,726.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit RUN FROM FEAR FUN FROM REAR von Bruce Nauman kam im November 2002 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 427.500,00 (€ 430.426,90) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bruce Nauman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Life, Death, Love, Hate, Pleasure, Pain im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 8.996.400,00 (€ 7.377.726,75).
