Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nature Dancer (Lettuce leaves) by Carlotta Corpron was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in April 2021. The price achieved of USD 2,550.00 (€ 2,119.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carlotta Corpron - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Light, White Paper and Glass; Eggs Encircled; Untitled from the series Light Follows Form; and Illusion of Male and Female from the series Light Follows Form (1946), which sold at auction in April 2000 for USD 4,700.00 (€ 5,171.09).
