This artwork by Caroline Walker achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in December last year. In the New Now auction, the work Beached sold for GBP 56,700.00 (€ 64,008.78) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Caroline Walker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Threshold in March this year with an auction result of GBP 927,100.00 (€ 1,054,755.33).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Caroline Walker erzielte im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion New Now wurde die Arbeit Beached für GBP 56.700,00 (€ 64.008,78) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Caroline Walker erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Threshold im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 927.100,00 (€ 1.054.755,33).
