The work Compression by César was auctioned at Christies in London in February 2009. It achieved a price of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 22,549.36), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 33%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by César achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Compression "Zim"Compressed Car in December 2015 with an auction result of EUR 627,000.00.

Die Arbeit Compression von César kam im Februar 2009 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 22.549,36) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 33%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von César erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Compression "Zim"Compressed Car im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 627.000,00.
