In November 2010 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included the work Sables by Shafic Abboud. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 8,125.00 63% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shafic Abboud achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Villa des Iris in November this year with an auction result of GBP 381,400.00 (€ 441,959.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 63 % übertroffen
Im November 2010 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sables von Shafic Abboud zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 8.125,00 und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shafic Abboud erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Villa des Iris im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 381.400,00 (€ 441.959,66).
