Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2002 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War and Contemporary (Morning Session), which included the work Cat by Charles Bell. The »bidding war« ended at USD 47,800.00 (€ 51,183.21), 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Bell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Miami Beach in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 769,000.00 (€ 523,556.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2002 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary (Morning Session) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cat von Charles Bell zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 47.800,00 (€ 51.183,21) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Bell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Miami Beach im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 769.000,00 (€ 523.556,64).
