Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pablo Picasso, 1875-1973, Catalogue Raisonné by Christian Zervos was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 16,250.00 (€ 14,780.79) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Christian Zervos have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pablo Picasso, 1895-1973, Catalogue Raisonné in May 2011 with an auction result of USD 170,500.00 (€ 118,600.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Pablo Picasso, 1875-1973, Catalogue Raisonné von Christian Zervos kam im Mai 2015 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 14.780,79) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Christian Zervos auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pablo Picasso, 1895-1973, Catalogue Raisonné im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 170.500,00 (€ 118.600,45).
