Auction result well in line with expectations
In June this year VAN HAM held the auction German Post War | ONLINE ONLY, which included the work Wrapped Reichstag. Project for Berlin. by Christo. It changed hands for a price of EUR 462.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Umbrellas (Joint project for Japan and USA) in February 2021 with an auction result of EUR 1,706,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni diesen Jahres führte VAN HAM die Auktion German Post War | ONLINE ONLY durch, in der auch die Arbeit Wrapped Reichstag. Project for Berlin. von Christo zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 462,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 300,00 – 500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Umbrellas (Joint project for Japan and USA) im Februar 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.706.500,00.
