This artwork by Christopher Richard Wynne Nevinson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March this year. In the Prints and Multiples auction, the work La Villette sold for GBP 2,016.00 (€ 2,293.59) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christopher Richard Wynne Nevinson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Dawn, 1914 in November 2017 with an auction result of GBP 1,869,000.00 (€ 2,121,593.04).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Christopher Richard Wynne Nevinson erzielte im März diesen Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Prints and Multiples wurde die Arbeit La Villette für GBP 2.016,00 (€ 2.293,59) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christopher Richard Wynne Nevinson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Dawn, 1914 im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.869.000,00 (€ 2.121.593,04).
