This artwork by Cinga Samson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in June this year. In the 20th Century to Now auction, the work Ubuhle Beenkanyezi I sold for GBP 114,300.00 (€ 133,025.52) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cinga Samson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lift Off, which sold at auction in October 2021 for GBP 321,300.00 (€ 380,653.72).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Cinga Samson erzielte im Juni diesen Jahres bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century to Now wurde die Arbeit Ubuhle Beenkanyezi I für GBP 114.300,00 (€ 133.025,52) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 60.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Cinga Samson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Lift Off beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für GBP 321.300,00 (€ 380.653,72) versteigert wurde.
