In October 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Black Child And Apple Blossom, Tennessee by Consuelo Kanaga. The result of USD 5,000.00 (€ 4,528.17) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Consuelo Kanaga achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Profile of a Young Girl from the Tennessee Series in April 2019 with an auction result of USD 106,250.00 (€ 94,857.60).

Im Oktober 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Black Child And Apple Blossom, Tennessee von Consuelo Kanaga zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 4.528,17) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Consuelo Kanaga erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Profile of a Young Girl from the Tennessee Series im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 106.250,00 (€ 94.857,60).
