Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Damien Hirst could be acquired at Phillips in New York in July this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art auction, the work 6252. I think I am changed hands for USD 9,525.00 (€ 8,643.38) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Damien Hirst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lullaby Spring in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 9,652,000.00 (€ 14,323,082.54).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Damien Hirst konnte im Juli diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art wechselte die Arbeit 6252. I think I am für USD 9.525,00 (€ 8.643,38) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Damien Hirst erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lullaby Spring im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.652.000,00 (€ 14.323.082,54).
