Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Beautiful, Shattered, Mellow, Exploding, Paint-Filled Balloons Painting by Damien Hirst was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2013. It achieved a price of GBP 422,500.00 (€ 493,133.17), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 21%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Damien Hirst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lullaby Spring in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 9,652,000.00 (€ 14,323,082.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Beautiful, Shattered, Mellow, Exploding, Paint-Filled Balloons Painting von Damien Hirst kam im Juni 2013 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 422.500,00 (€ 493.133,17) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 21%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Damien Hirst erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lullaby Spring im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.652.000,00 (€ 14.323.082,54).
