Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Happiness by Damien Hirst was auctioned at Phillips in New York in July this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 35,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 35,560.00 (€ 32,268.60). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Damien Hirst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lullaby Spring in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 9,652,000.00 (€ 14,323,082.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Happiness von Damien Hirst kam im Juli diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 35.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 35.560,00 (€ 32.268,60) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Damien Hirst erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lullaby Spring im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.652.000,00 (€ 14.323.082,54).
