Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Damien Hirst achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May 2006. In the Post War and Contemporary Art Afternoon Session auction, the work The Last Supper sold for USD 84,000.00 (€ 65,456.25) - well above the upper estimate of USD 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Damien Hirst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lullaby Spring in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 9,652,000.00 (€ 14,323,082.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Damien Hirst erzielte im Mai 2006 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post War and Contemporary Art Afternoon Session wurde die Arbeit The Last Supper für USD 84.000,00 (€ 65.456,25) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 40.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Damien Hirst erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lullaby Spring im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.652.000,00 (€ 14.323.082,54).
