This artwork by Don Eddy achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in October 2020. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work Wrecking Yard Vi sold for GBP 56,700.00 (€ 62,960.51) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Don Eddy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Departure Dc 8 III - 1969, which sold at auction in June 2018 for EUR 143,000.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Don Eddy erzielte im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction wurde die Arbeit Wrecking Yard Vi für GBP 56.700,00 (€ 62.960,51) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Don Eddy mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Departure Dc 8 III - 1969 beobachtet, die im Juni 2018 für EUR 143.000,00 versteigert wurde.
