Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Broken Arc, 1927 by František Drtikol was sold in the Photographs auction at Christies in New York in October 2004. Here, the upper estimate of USD 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 50,190.00 (€ 39,377.06). Admittedly, works by František Drtikol have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Temná vlna (The Dark Wave), 1926 in April last year with an auction result of USD 352,800.00 (€ 334,820.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Broken Arc, 1927 von František Drtikol wurde im Oktober 2004 in der Auktion Photographs bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 50.190,00 (€ 39.377,06) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von František Drtikol auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Temná vlna (The Dark Wave), 1926 im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 352.800,00 (€ 334.820,16).
