Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2021 Phillips in London held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Red Tree by Gary Hume. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 22,680.00 (€ 26,088.60). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gary Hume achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vicious in February 2014 with an auction result of GBP 410,500.00 (€ 498,035.27).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2021 führte Phillips in London die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Red Tree von Gary Hume zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 22.680,00 (€ 26.088,60) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gary Hume erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vicious im Februar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 410.500,00 (€ 498.035,27).
