Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Red Portrait by George Condo was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction at Bonhams in May this year. The price achieved of USD 50,775.00 (€ 47,658.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Condo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nude and Forms in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 6,162,500.00 (€ 5,280,634.10).
