Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Corbeille de fleurs by Georges Braque was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale auction at Christies in London in June this year. The price achieved of GBP 189,000.00 (€ 219,963.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georges Braque achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paysage À La Ciotat in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 15,845,000.00 (€ 12,199,722.82).

Die Arbeit Corbeille de fleurs von Georges Braque wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 189.000,00 (€ 219.963,46) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 150.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georges Braque erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paysage À La Ciotat im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.845.000,00 (€ 12.199.722,82).
