Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Petite guitare cubiste (Guitare sur une table) by Georges Braque was auctioned at Christies in London in March this year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 12,600.00 (€ 14,334.93). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georges Braque achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paysage À La Ciotat in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 15,845,000.00 (€ 12,199,722.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Petite guitare cubiste (Guitare sur une table) von Georges Braque kam im März diesen Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 12.600,00 (€ 14.334,93) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georges Braque erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paysage À La Ciotat im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.845.000,00 (€ 12.199.722,82).
