This artwork by Georges Braque achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in June this year. In the Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale auction, the work Zao sold for GBP 18,900.00 (€ 21,996.35) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georges Braque achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paysage À La Ciotat in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 15,845,000.00 (€ 12,199,722.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Georges Braque erzielte im Juni diesen Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale wurde die Arbeit Zao für GBP 18.900,00 (€ 21.996,35) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georges Braque erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paysage À La Ciotat im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.845.000,00 (€ 12.199.722,82).
